Sculptor in Chyulu

National Geographic’s short film showcase shows exceptional work by filmmakers who affirm the belief in the power of science, exploration, and storytelling to change the world.

A short film about Mark Coreth – a famous sculptor who works with extraordinary speed – sculpting small-scale field studies as a “threedimensional form of sketching” for completing his finished works back in the studio has been made in the Chyulu hills in Kenya.

Coreth’s magnificent portraits convey the movement, speed, and violence of wildlife and have made him internationally recognized as a master sculptor of the animal in motion.
