The new Kache by Angie store opening at The Hub, in Nairobi’s Karen, brought together the Spanish community along with the Spanish Ambassador, Javier Garcia and Kenyan celebrities including Miss Kenya Universe Mary Were, to a night of food, drink and dancing.
Guests from all origins, mingled over Spanish wine, cocktails, tapas and a special spit roast dinner menu provided by Picazzo Restaurant next door. Amidst them were entrepreneurs and fashionistas – Eddi Kirindo men’s stylist, TV Producer Lucy Gakii and Dorothy Oliech of Mochez Model Agency.
Adding spice to the night, red skirts and frills twirled with the characteristics of Flamenco as dancers sung along to the ballads. Angie Messegeur to whom the Kache brand belongs, is a vibrant member of the Sevillanas Flamenco group, Los Lunares.
This is Angie’s fifth store with highly fashionable clothes from Barcelona, Spain. Her daughter and son cut the ribbon, which was an Andalucian style, embroidered and tassled scarf.
She was described as strong and courageous by the Spanish Ambassador.
